Megan Thee Stallion Gives Us Ultimate Eye Makeup Envy

Megan Thee Stallion has rapped her way to the top of the industry and we are here for it. Despite her far-reaching influence and fame, Megan remains true to herself – as told to Vogue, she still chooses to do her own makeup, simply because she wants to be creative. While we love when Megan graces the ‘gram with her beautiful bare skin, we are obsessed with her statement eye makeup. We rounded up Megan’s ultimate hot girl eye looks for all you hotties:

The Golden Eye

Leave it to Megan to create the perfect golden eye with a literal face sticker. This was a finishing touch added by her makeup artist, Priscilla Ono, once the rest of her makeup set. The metallic statement piece looks effortless resting on Megan’s upper eyelids, giving us serious Euphoria vibes. We played around with these Pretty Girl Cosmetics gold wing eye stickers ($5) and were surprised at how well we could still blink! You can also use a metallic pencil like NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner ($7) but make sure to give enough time to dry completely to prevent a sticky situation.

True To Blue

“You mean to tell us we can pull off blue hair and blue eyeshadow?” Yes! Megan accurately replicates the tones of her blue-gray hair to her upper eyelids and it looks ah-mazing. Now we wouldn’t recommend dying your hair blue on a whim but we do suggest trying NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Underworld (available for $11) to recreate Megan’s look. Start with depositing blue shade to the upper eyelids and subtly pulling it diagonally up towards the end of your brow. Next, generously add the light gray shade to only your upper eyelid. Follow up with a winged eyeliner and eyelashes for added drama.

Just Wing It

We thought gone are the days of accentuated winged liner but boy, were we wrong. It’s hard to believe Megan does her own makeup and gets her wing perfect every dang time because it’s a struggle over here. For a statement wing, you can use any matte liquid eyeliner you have. We like Benefit Roller Liner Matte Liquid Eyeliner ($22). Depending on your comfort level, you can create the outer wing tip first and work your way inward or you can start at the inner corner and draw to the outer corner of your eyelid. There is no one way to get that liner perfect for yourself. But remember: to create Megan’s iconic winged look, apply thin strokes of liner (rather than an outright big thick line) and layer as you desire to achieve a fuller wing.

All About Lashes

No look of Megan’s is complete without a set of dramatic falsies and perhaps, an “eyelash bug”. Megan makes sure that her lashes are always the end point of her eye makeup, bringing it all together. While we may shy away from applying our own false lashes and avoiding a finger fight with glue, getting lash lifts and extensions can get expensive. For beginners, the trick is to trim each eyelash strip depending on your actual eyelid and look downwards into a mirror when applying the lash.
