5 Quick Glow Up Tricks For Coming Out Of Quarantine

If you’re like us, this quarantine has been all about binging everything – snacks, Netflix, loungewear. Your dear friend, panic, may be asking: “how will you catch up + glow up once you’re out of quarantine?!” Fear not. Start here and own that glow:

1.     Time to rekindle that spark…with water.

When you start to drink water more regularly, the physical and mental results are instantaneous. Not only do you feel more energized, but it keeps your skin hydrated and moisturized and flushes out any bloatedness caused by those salty snacks. If you hate plain water, flavor it up with sliced up fruits or cucumber. For more accountability and motivation, we use this Bando bottle throughout the day.

2.     Dust off that blender.

We love a good-for-you healthy smoothie that provides an overall glow to our skin and helps kick any bad cravings to the curb. You can mix any fruits and veggies you like, with healthy fats, such as coconut oil, nuts and avocados. If you want to shed a couple of pounds in a short amount of time, having a smoothie is an easy and quick meal replacement as long as it meets your caloric goal. We love the Ginger + Greens Daily Harvest smoothie because it contains glow-up ingredients such as ginger, flax seed, and lemon.

3.     Spare 10 minutes every day.

Besides trying to stop eating ice cream for breakfast, at-home workouts may be the hardest challenge of quarantine. But luckily YouTube is a goldmine for very short full-body workouts, such as on Pamela Reif’s YouTube channel. With limited time, choose a workout that involves your entire body instead of alternating between certain parts. Having a workout playlist is very helpful because a 10-minute full body workout equals to less than three of your favorite dance songs. You won’t even notice the time fly by and your body, especially your skin, will feel immediately rejuvenated. If you want to track your calories in versus calories out for weight loss, we suggest the MyFitnessPal app.

4.     Get that “no-sun” sun look.

By this time, you would usually already have a pre-summer tan going from your spring break shenanigans. We have an alternate approach to getting that golden healthy skin for your body: St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse. Start with using a gentle exfoliator to shed any dead skin cells on your body that have accumulated during this time. Use the mousse to gradually build up to the color you want. You can even mix it with your favorite moisturizer or body oil for additional hydration and let the glow goddess awaken.

5.     Give your nails & hair salon-quality TLC.

Give yourself that much needed manicure and pedicure and be confident letting your paws out. For an easy summer hairstyle, we love this tutorial on how to do a quick chic fishtail braid. Trimming your own split ends or renewing your color takes a lot of confidence that is difficult to muster up on such short notice. Showing up with a new and fun hairstyle is the cherry on top to your quick glow up!
