Mask While You Game
Some nights I’m glued to my controller. And no one can get my attention – not even a notification from Postmates my food is waiting outside my front door. Luckily, I don’t mind my meals cold. But I do love to multitask, as long as one of the two tasks requires zero effort. It happened accidently – I left my controller on my vanity and when I came back to grab it, I noticed it was sitting next to a face mask I bought on a whim but had since forgotten about entirely (like most of my adulting purchases). Why don’t I leave this mask on while I play? What’s my excuse? I don’t even have to get up to rinse it off in a few minutes! Winning all around. Here’s what I tried:
For Non-Digital Brightness: Youth To The People Superberry Dream Mask
I had tried this mask as a sample and it felt so good I had to add the full size to my cart under the guise that I would use it every night. In case you’re wondering, that didn’t happen. Until now. I used it consistently for 3 nights and my skin felt soft and brighter like I’d been getting restful sleep (not the case in actuality). At first, it feels thick but becomes lightweight when applied and a little goes a long way so I only need to apply a small amount each time (no sticky fingerprints on my controller).
For Parched Skin: Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Mask
My mom gave me this mask to try because she swears by it for her dry skin – it’s the most luxurious thing to ever grace my face. Hence, the price tag. The only perk of getting her dry skin genetics. This mask can be applied with warm water and rinsed off after 20 minutes or for extra hydration, massaged into skin like a moisturizer. Kind of confusing to figure out at first: how can I leave something on that should also be washed off? With 39 natural ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, it’s safe and beneficial to leave on skin.
For A Long Night: Aveeno Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial
I fell asleep in this mask after a night of gaming, followed by aimless scrolling for another hour because why not? This mask is oil-free, lightweight and moisturizing. It didn’t feel greasy or sticky on my skin when I put it on or when I woke up. In the morning, there was no residue or stain on my pillowcase (much to my surprise with an overnight mask). My skin felt hydrated like I slept with sliced cucumbers all over my face – a refreshing change.
